Here you can find some story of the extreme police actions in English:

1. A part of a parent's letter:

"Please help!

My son was arrested in a police action carried out at dawn on the 21 of September and he has been kept under remand since then!

Here is a short description of the story according to a friend who was going home with him:

Going home from a pub (can be checked) they entered a 24 hour open grocers.

My son and two of his friends left for home and one of their friends stayed in the store. This friend is willing to support with his testimony what had happened because thats how he had a narrow escape from the horrible things that happened to my son. My son and his two friends left the shop and they saw people running towards them chased by policemen. As they rent a flat nearby they started running home. By the time they reached the gate the crowd got so close that they didnt have time to close the gate behind themselves so some people from the crowd and the police entered the house, too. My son and his friends tried to get into their flat but the police caught up with them and despite the boys saying aloud that they lived there (with the key in their hands) they were caught. On the police demand the boys surrendered putting up their hands without saying a word. Despite this the police taking them down handcuffed them on the staircase where the neighbours couldnt see them and according to witnesses, judging by the sounds, beat them. My son has bruises on his leg and was hit on his head which makes his front tooth loose! His friend was even harder beaten, his lip split open so that he had to be taken to hospital. It should have been stitched up but it would have taken 4 hours and they said there was no time for it (there is constat). This hasnt changed since then as they say.

My son is a collage student and also has a job, which he needs because of our familys strained financial circumstances. He had never had any affair with the court. It is horrible to see what a spiritual burden to them is this unmerited and unfair situation in which they got in. After such intimidation and terrible proceeding it is understandable why it is so difficult to find witnesses who would dare to testify.

2. The truth about the events at dawn, 21 September 2006 revealed by the parents

&bdquoWe went to the scene, in the block of flats in Dob street, where the case happened, and found out the events seen by witnesses.

Two young men were waiting for their friends to arrive home at the entrance of the house at around two o'clock. In a short time their friends arrived, the four of them, who lived in that house. They talked for a few minutes in front of the house then hearing a loud noise they went out to see what was going on to the corner of Erzsébet boulevard and Dob street about 30 metres from the gate. The police shot tear-gas which made a big smoke and strong smell. Suddenly, a row of shielded riot police appeared which made the boys scared and run back, together with the crowd, towards he entrance of the house.

From the other end of Hársfa street a group of policemen with batons approached giving everybody fright. The young men together with some strangers ran away from these policemen to the house, somebody closed the magnetic lock of the gate that the policemen kicked in violently and started chasing them. The young men ran up to their apartment on the second floor but they didn't have time to open the door with the key in their hands because the policemen caught up with them and on demand the young men surrendered putting up their hands without any resistance only shouted: &ldquowe live here, here are our keys, we didn't do anything! but the policemen wouldn't listen, but hauling at them handcuffed their hands brutally. Then they insulted the young men "Now you will learn your lesson! and kicking and tugging at them they dragged them down the stairs to the ground floor. After the policemen's marching down some people appeared, who hadn't run towards the flat but hid in the staircase. The young men with their hand handcuffed back were brutishly assaulted by the police at the inner part of the entrance on the ground floor. A big pool of blood stayed behind them. He was surprised to see how many policemen took part in this action (about 20).

According to witnesses the young men, unable to defend themselves with their hands handcuffed at the back, were pushed through the gate and hitting their heads and backs and stomachs the policemen shoved them to the prisoner carrier van standing in the street.
